Chuck smiles ruefully at Raleigh instead of scowling at him--he's pretty sober, since he's only been drinking the one cup all night, but it's still gotten him a little warm and looser than he might be. He's still not sure how to act around him and he's pretty sure Raleigh still thinks he hates him, but he can probably make small talk at a party, right?
"Hey Ray," he drawls. "Come to check out the shadows?" Because while the whole house isn't precisely lit well, for party reasons, Chuck's still in a pretty dark part. It sounded more clever in his head. It's his first time drinking rum.
"And you didn't think it was the only sophomore on the varsity team, who's got nothing in common with anyone here except American football? Good thing you've got sports going for you." Chuck smirks insolently and leans back in his seat, rum made his tongue loose and easy over his usual embarrassment and blush.
And Raleigh has to know Chuck's giving him shit, they're in a couple of the same classes, Chuck knows Raleigh's a good student. They wouldn't let him stay on the team if he wasn't.
Chuck moves a little to allow Raleigh space, but it's a small seat and they're still brushing against each other.
Raleigh's warm against him, and it feels like there's electricity burning along Chuck's side--not unusual, but instead of jerking away like he normally does Chuck lets himself relax. His dick's definitely getting interested in what's happening, not enough for Raleigh to notice in the darkness so he's not worried about it.
"And I mean, you're pretty enough that it won't matter either," he says carelessly.
There's more electricity running through Chuck at Raleigh's deepened voice, sparking up his spine and Chuck licks his lips reflexively, glancing over at him.
"Shut up, pretty boy." He smirks. "You know you are."
Chuck's blushing, he knows he is but it's probably too dark to tell that either. He watched Raleigh's gaze drop to his mouth and--no, he's drunk, it can't be that.
"Shut up," he says again, still sounding like he's laughing.
Something he hasn't realized yet is that the host of the party put up mistletoe randomly throughout the house. Even in a bathroom. (Like, why?)
Chuck still hasn't really figured out he's under a sprig right now.
"Neve." He grins, leaning a little closer, attention drawn briefly away by
a shriek somewhere over his shoulder before he turns his attention back to
Chuck.
He's very aware they're under mistletoe, but Chuck clearly isn't.
Chuck's trying to look over Raleigh's shoulder at what caused the shriek before Raleigh distracts him again. He glances up, smile half formed on his mouth, expecting Raleigh to tell him 'gullible' is written on the ceiling.
Chuck's throat is suddenly dry. Raleigh is looking at him like he's a meal to be gobbled up and he's clenching his cup hard enough to crinkle it and there's fucking mistletoe and Raleigh's eyes are so blue and there's mistletoe.
Chuck doesn't remember hearing that, but--jesus, Raleigh is actually looking at him and Chuck takes a hasty gulp of the rest of his eggnog just to feel warmth of the rum and to be bold.
He leans right in, reaching to cup the back of Chuck's head and pulls him
close, lips brushing softly, Raleigh's tongue gently lapping the taste of
eggnog from Chuck's lips before he kisses him hungrily, fingers twisting in
short ginger hair.
Raleigh starts the kiss soft and Chuck's lips part a little and then it's like he's making good on the hungry look on his face and his hair's being pulled which Chuck wasn't sure he liked until right now, when he lets out a helpless sound into Raleigh's mouth and kisses back.
Kind of messily. This might be his first kiss. He grips the front of Raleigh's shirt to stop him moving away, so he can get a little more practice in.
Raleigh could easily devour him and he starts to, kissing him hungrily and
thoroughly with lips and teeth and tongue.
It's sort of messy in general; from the spiked eggnog to their eagerness
it's sloppy, lips slipping against one another and teeth clicking, Raleigh
lauching low in his belly as he pauses to breath but doesn't pull back.
Chuck actually hears himself whimper when Raleigh pulls back, even if it's for air, and he surges forward and pulls Raleigh close, slotting Raleigh between his knees so they're pressed closer together.
He's not entirely certain fo what he's doing but he likes it.
"Mm, I gotcha," he purrs, slipping a hand down and around Chuck's waist,
leaning in to kiss him against, licking at those beautiful, plush lips and
twisting Chuck's shirt in his fingers.
He can feel every part of him thrumming, anticipation tingling the tips of his fingers.
He's buzzing too hard on Raleigh's attention, Raleigh's desire (and some rum) to really think about or wonder why Raleigh's suddenly interested in him.

And he tries tonight, because he's had a shot or two of rum and he's feeling equally ballsy and chatty.
"Yeah. Thought I'd come and see who was over here lurking."

"At least there's that~"
Raleigh excels in the humanities. He's not great with mathematics, but he loves the arts.

"Pretty," he says, voice deepening and dropping to a murmured purr. "You think I'm pretty..?"

And he freezes, smile frozen halfway.
"oh."

Who knows, probably some girl getting thrown in the pool.
"Mistletoe," he murmurs, tapping his chin, dropping his eyes back to Chuck. "Isn't that something."

"Yeah?" he croaks.
Wow. Chuck might go jump in the pool too.

Raleigh would very much like to devour Chuck, the fresh faced sophomore that's been giving him such a fit this whole season.
"Its bad luck if we don't kiss."
no subject
Chuck doesn't remember hearing that, but--jesus, Raleigh is actually looking at him and Chuck takes a hasty gulp of the rest of his eggnog just to feel warmth of the rum and to be bold.
"Are you waiting for something?"
Is he looking for a way out of kissing Chuck?
no subject
"For you to get that damn eggnog out of the way."
He leans right in, reaching to cup the back of Chuck's head and pulls him close, lips brushing softly, Raleigh's tongue gently lapping the taste of eggnog from Chuck's lips before he kisses him hungrily, fingers twisting in short ginger hair.

He wants to find a room and nothing's ever sounded better to Chuck ever.
no subject
Raleigh nods and pulls back, gesturing for Chuck to do the same.
"C'mon. I know there's some. Robert's house is huge."
Plenty of spare beds to make out on.

They creep down the halls together, Raleigh peeking his head in a few doors until he finds something suitable and holds it open for Chuck.
"This one."
no subject
"Seriously how many bedrooms does anyone need?" he asks, instead of just kissing Raleigh again. Stop questioning, Chuck.
